Well I have viewed many blogs and found them inspirational so I thought I would join the virtual diary club just really to record my life as I try my hardest to become a picture book illustrator. At the moment I am a part time art and design teacher but one day hopefully I will join the chosen few who have the blessed life of working from home doing something they love... drawing.
I hope I can get my images uploaded very soon as I'm having a bit of trouble with that. Images are small enough but to no avail. Will wait til my son Dan gets home.
Not the most inspiring post but I will get better and one day I will become a picture book illustrator!!!!

We live in the same part of the world, we are in Todmorden.
Good luck with your jump into kids book illustration. I have illustrated one childrens book but found it very poor pay, couldnt survive on the money for the time it took to paint! I illustrate and design more for the gift industry.
Anyway, I hope you get to fulfill your dreams.
