Nominated for an award!!

I was just discussing with my friend Rachel about going to an awards ceremony. I am officially a nominee for illustrating the characters for a fire safety campaign. I am quite pleased with these little characters even though they are not in my usual painterly style. Should be a good night of fine wine and food. I think we should go Rachel!!!

First time blogger!

Well I have viewed many blogs and found them inspirational so I thought I would join the virtual diary club just really to record my life as I try my hardest to become a picture book illustrator. At the moment I am a part time art and design teacher but one day hopefully I will join the chosen few who have the blessed life of working from home doing something they love... drawing.

I hope I can get my images uploaded very soon as I'm having a bit of trouble with that. Images are small enough but to no avail. Will wait til my son Dan gets home.

Not the most inspiring post but I will get better and one day I will become a picture book illustrator!!!!
